Purpose: To make Mineral
Resource Data System data available via the World Wide Web for use in future
spatial analysis by a variety of users.
Abstract: MRDS contains
variable-length records of metallic and nonmetallic mineral
resources
of the world. A record contains descriptive information about mineral deposits
and mineral commodities. The types of information in the database include
deposit name, location, commodity, deposit description, geologic
characteristics, production, reserves,
potential resources, and references.

utilizing this data set shall clearly indicate its source.
If
the user has modified the data in any way they are obliged to describe the
types of modifications they have performed on the hardcopy map. User
specifically agrees not to misrepresent this data set, nor to imply that
