Export GeoJpeg
Note: To use Jpegs in ArcView, you need to turn on the Jpeg Extension.
A geojpeg is a geo-referenced jpeg (has an associated .jgw world file). This extension allows the user to export the view as is in a geo-referenced jpeg. The exported file will include any themes that are turned on, as well as any graphics. The image will also be in the same projection as on the view.
Download the file here. Add the geojpeg.avx file to the
extensions folder. Open the Extensions menu and activate Export Geojpeg. This will add a button to the View -
. Edit the view to contain the desire
features and images and then click on the geojpeg button. A menu will
prompt for the quality of the resulting jpeg. The lower the quality of the
jpeg, the smaller the file size. After selecting, quality, choose the file
location and filename.
The geojpeg can be added back to a view as is.
Note: Both the image file and the associated .jgw file must have the same filename.
